Oxford is bordered by Wildwood to the south and The Villages to the east, sits along US 301 and the CSX Wildwood Subdivision rail line, and has CR 466 as a main intersection running through it. That last detail matters more here than in most towns on our route: CR 466 is the exact boundary The Villages’ own utilities use to describe where the community’s dual potable/non-potable water system split begins, homes south of that line were generally built with a separate non-potable irrigation main from the start. Oxford’s position straddling that corridor means properties here can be on either system depending on exactly where they sit and which development built them, and the honest answer for a specific address is to check the utility bill rather than assume.
