Villages Sprinkler Repair is an independently operated local service connecting homeowners across The Villages and the surrounding towns with independent local irrigation technicians. We are not a franchise of The Villages or its developer, and we do not claim any relationship with either. We repair what is already installed: heads, valves, controllers, rain sensors, and lines, at the property, on the schedule you need.

Why we work the way we do

The Villages is one of the largest single-family, retiree-heavy communities in the country, spanning Sumter, Marion, and Lake counties with a median age over 73. Nearly every home has an in-ground zoned irrigation system installed at the same time as the house, and a lot of those systems are original: same heads, same controller, same valves for a decade or more. That produces a specific, predictable set of calls: a part that has simply worn out, not a system that was badly designed.

Published prices. The service call is $75 to $150. Every repair we quote has a published range on the pricing page, before you call, not after.

Diagnosis before quote. The tech runs every zone, not just the one you flagged, because a system with one obvious problem often has a second one starting behind it, a slow-closing valve, a nozzle nobody noticed drifted, a rain sensor a season from failing.

Honesty about licensing. Florida handles irrigation contractor licensing county by county in most places, with a separate voluntary statewide specialty license that some contractors hold instead. We will not tell you “our techs are licensed” and leave it at that; ask the technician which license they hold, and confirm it yourself with the county or at myfloridalicense.com if it matters to you.

Honesty about the rain sensor law. Florida Statute 373.62 requires a working rain sensor or equivalent shutoff on every automatic irrigation system in the state, and requires any licensed contractor working on a system to test it and fix it before finishing other work. We treat that as a requirement to meet, not an upsell to pitch.

Who does the work

Repairs are handled by local irrigation technicians who work these systems daily: Rain Bird and Hunter rotors and valves on most existing in-ground systems, Orbit and B-hyve WiFi controllers homeowners have added since, and Toro rotors, sprays, and drip components. Ask which license the technician holds and to see proof of insurance before work starts. The truck carries the parts that close most calls in one visit: nozzles, solenoids, wire connectors, common fittings, and rain sensors.
